Making a Mini Quilt part 2

This is a continuation of how I make landscape quilts.

Design Fused

Design Fused

The fabric has been cut to the 5 by 7 inch size and fused.

I machine quit with invisible thread around all the raw edges.  My layers are the design on top, the piece of muslin and low loft cotton batting.  I don’t have the backing on at this point.

Putting it together

I put the quilt sandwich together.  Notice the ribbon for the hanger since I’m making this into a door fob.  I put my label on too.  I sew around the piece 1/4 inch from the edge.  Leaving a gap at the bottom so it can be turned out to the right side.

Here it is finished.  I sew around the mini quilt 1/4 inch from the edge, that also secures my label to the back.

They are fun and easy to make!
